Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate in First Tee – Québec programming?

Any child or teens from ages 5-18 is encouraged to participate, regardless of background, skill set or previous experience with golf. All that is asked is that children come with an open mind and positive attitude.

Do I need to provide golf equipment for my child?

No. First Tee – Québec program locations provide access to all the equipment. There is no need for special golf attire.

What if my child has never picked up a golf club before?

We know it can feel intimidating to start something new. Everyone was a beginner once and our First Tee coaches will be trained in creating a supportive environment to make children feel comfortable and ensure they have fun while learning about themselves and golf.

Will my child be participating in a safe environment?

First Tee – Québec is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants and individuals affiliated with the program.

As part of that commitment, all employees, coaches, and volunteers must complete a background check every two years before working with youth. In addition, all employees, coaches, volunteers, and board members will be required to complete the Respect Group training program. Learn More.
